Clerk's Office Comes Full Circle

When I started this series, my goal wasn't simply to talk about my campaign.

It was to shine a light on an office that quietly touches nearly every part of county government.

Over the past several weeks, we've explored...

  • Protecting the integrity of our elections.
  • Preserving the history and records of Ray County
  • Managing budgets, accounts payable, and county finances.
  • Supporting county employees through payroll, benefits, and personnel records.
  • Clerk's role in certifying tax levies

In addition, the Clerk's office handles:

  • Notary commissions
  • Swearing in newly elected officials
  • Issuing auctioneer and liquor licenses
  • Maintaining county postage machine
  • Preparing Commission agendas and minutes
  • Countless other responsibilities that keep the county government moving

When you put all of those pieces together, you begin to see the bigger picture.

The County Clerk's Office isn't just responsible for one thing—it's connected to almost everything.

It requires full-time dedication and someone who is organized, dependable, willing to learn, attentive to detail, and committed to working as part of a team. Most of all, it requires a servant's heart.

I have been blessed to learn every facet of this office from people who genuinely care about serving Ray County. That experience has prepared me not only to understand the job but to appreciate the responsibility that comes with it.

If you entrust me with your vote, I promise to serve with integrity, kindness, and respect. I'll work hard every day to preserve what has served our county well while always looking for ways to improve the service we provide.

Thank you for taking this journey with me. I hope this series has shown you not only what the County Clerk's Office does but why it matters.

Because at the end of the day, it isn't about paperwork. It's about people!

Honoring the Past. Leading into the Future.
